2010 BSR Rules Approved!!!

The 2010 BSR Rules have been finalized and approved by all participated sanctioning bodies. They are now available on the Boxster Spec Racing Website (www.boxsterspecracing.org).

The BSX Rules Committee will now begin review of the 2010 rule change submissions.

Weekly Email Update

It´s been awhile but I´m back after a much needed vacation.

We have a few corrections from the last update. It was Gene Sigal in Dan Aspesi's car that cracked the Willow Springs all-time top 5 with a 1:32.892 back in early June at the Tribute to LeMans event.

Also, Robert Cohen knocked off a 2:20.776 in his enduro event at Watkins Glenn which I missed - thanks Robert for letting me know. As mentioned before Robert is one of the first in the class from the East Coast participating with PCA. Welcome Robert! Robert´s #210 BSR pictured below.



Quinn Thompson ventured out with the SoCal NASA group June 26-28 to run Buttonwillow CCW with a best time of 2:15:886.

Porsche Owner's Club Triple Crown Event at Willow Springs (Cup Races, Time Trials, Short Track Series)
March 21st & 22nd, 2009

Congrats to Gene Sigal BSR winner at Willow Springs Triple Crown event in Saturday's Cup Race with a best lap of 1:34.778. A hard fought battle behind Gene ended with Nick Richards in second place and Mike Holgate in third.

Sunday's two sprint races where somewhat a carbon copy of Saturday except that at one point in was SNOWING! Gene Sigal proved again to be too fast at his home track with Nick Richards and Mike Holgate fighting it our for 2nd and 3rd respectively. Notable was Quinn Thompson who threw down some fast laps (1:34.746) hot on the heels of Nick and Mike before spinning in turn one. Quinn's fast lap was only two tenths off race leader Gene Sigal's fastest lap.

Time Trial results: BSR - (1) Gene Sigal (1:34.778), (2) Nick Richards, (3) Quinn Thompson, (4) Roger Rodas, (5) Leland McArthy and STS BSX winner - (1) Regan Steedman (1:41:478).

STS Results: BSR - (1) Gene Sigal (1:34.778), (2) Blair Chang, (3) Fred Poordad, (4) Gene Agetap and STS BSX winner - (1) Mike Harley (1:45.951).

Note: BSR Time Trial and STS times were pulled from the race.
